Because Music That Matters exists, we are able to minister across the region and up and down the West coast to different populations that are hurting and dealing with their own unique set of issues / needs. I love packing our van with all the gear and heading out of town to minister to those who need it most...On this particular weekend, that group was FOTO - Families On The Outside.
As I occasionally do, I headed out solo to Horse Creek Lodge to lead worship for an awesome group of women who both humble and inspire me . These women share one thing in common that will forever shape their lives...They are wives or moms of husbands and sons in prison.
Our time together was powerful as the Lord allowed me to bring these chosen ones to the foot of the Cross...To lay down their burdens and shame, to drink in a much needed respit from their daily struggles and heartache and to hear God's voice through His Spirit and Word...Please keep these women in your prayers!
Officially Welcoming Rebecca Loomis to MTM Staff!
I would like to welcome Rebecca Loomis (my niece) to our MTM staff! She has been a part of The Kate White Band for a couple years and officially joined MTM staff through Artists in Christian Testimony, Int'l in June! Rebecca is one of the best Personal Assistants I have ever had and her contribution has an exponential impact on the effectiveness and extended reach of our ministry! She helps me with numerous back end tasks and organization that keep MTM operating (like putting together these newsletters, social media and website updates, etc) and is irreplaceable out on tour! She is an amazing artist, violinist, songwriter and jeweler whose contribution to our merch table brings a message of hope and compliments the music! As with my own salary, 50% comes from events we do and the other half comes from individual donors. Would you prayerfully consider supporting Rebecca on a monthly basis or make a one-time gift toward her monthly needs? No amount is too small and your partnership will free her up to help Music That Matters have a greater impact for His Kingdom!
Last summer in a routine checkup some serious concerns rose up, which lead to an oncologist who felt surgery was urgent. I (Kate) managed to postpone it until after our dental surgeries, but couldn't wait long if we wanted Insurance to cover it. 2 surgeons were necessary - though both preferred providers, only one was covered. GOOD NEWS, no cancer and the infection that was complicating the healing of Lyme was irradicated! MANY SYMPTOMS WE ATTRIBUTED TO LYME /CO-INFECTIONS for me are now GONE!
Recovery is going well, though emotionally this year has been esp. tough on us both. Pray for endurance and continued, sweet surrender to God's purposes.
2 Cor 4:6-10, 16-18
So much to say regarding Jeff... For details, pls go to our updates HERE
1. He nearly died of Adrenal Failure following the dental surgeries.
2. IVs have literally been life-giving...
3. He is still very weak.
4. Recent Heavy Metal Toxin test results show miraculous lowering of mercury and all heavy metals compared to numbers prior to his dental surgery. DENTAL SURGERY MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!
5. He continues to have "disappearances" and short-term memory is still severely impaired. Obstacles removed one by one, we still have the Babesia battle to complete.
When Jeff is in a good space, he is able to have full conversations now and communicate effectively, dynamically, with wisdom and clarity. He is able to contribute intelligent thought and opinions. The picture of the Settlers game is a huge victory! He used to be the master at strategy war / conquest games. He hasn't played a game in 2 years or more. Two weeks ago he played his first game with us and did well!
If you would like to help us with our medical costs you can donate either through GoFundMe, or if you need a tax deductible receipt, it would have to go into my personal account and count toward salary. Either way, every extra penny is going toward the same end.
